Last post prior to this could be found here. This build session focused mainly on the construction of the Gundam Kyrios' head. Prior to painting a layer of plastic paint primer was applied to the parts of the head.
This is one material I will try not to leave out of any future model kit build. Because of the plastic primer my 1/100 Gundam Kyrios did not suffer any paint chips after it fell more than 5 ft from its shelf due to an earthquake.
Spray paints used for this build, aside from the primer, was some Pylox Flat White, Pylox Fire Red, Pylox Caterpillar Yellow, Pylox Metallic Smokey Black and some Win Medium Yellow (acrylic lacquer). I was testing out the Win line of paints made by TOA Paint of Thailand. Based on my assessment, the paint sticks to the material but I have to say that it doesn't seem to want to cover the entire part completely.
If you look at the top picture with the Gundam head's "V" shaped crown, the yellow color seems to fade off from the edges. I like its effect on the part, but if I wanted to cover the part with a color evenly, I wouldn't use this type of paint.
The front mask part of the Gundam's face was composed of two colors, the top visor part I colored with Pylox Caterpillar Yellow, while the lower chin part used Pylox Fire Red. I spent some time viewing some episodes of Gundam 00 Season 1 in order to check whether the visor part is colored red or not. It turns out that it is colored red, looking at the Gundam Kyrios at the Official Gundam 00 web page however, the picture looks like the Kyrios visor is colored the same as its main orange parts.
I decided to go with this scheme because it looks way much cooler in my opinion. The top part of the head where the cover goes on I decided to color with Pylox Metallic Smokey Black in order to enhance the shadows inside once the top part of the head goes on.
After painting the front mask part of the Gundam, I had to file off the paint from back section that slides into the head because it was too thick already that it didn't want to slide into the head anymore.
Foil stickers is what gives the Gundam it's eyes. Stuck the foil eye stickers on at this step of the build.

Here's a full body shot. The kit isn't finished yet because I still have to do some panel lining as well as put on the yellow fins of the Gundam Kyrios.
Looking at the shots I took just now, I realized that the yellow parts looks the same as the orange parts in the pictures I posted. It must be my camera and the lighting caused by the flash I'm using. In reality however, the yellow parts are only slightly different from the orange parts, but you can tell them apart. I'll try to get better shots when I post the final pictures of this build in the coming days.
Once that's done I'll probably start building the 1/60 GN-001 Gundam Exia. I prefer however to build the 1/100 Gundam Dynames or 1/100 Gundam Cherudim that I had ordered earlier than the Exia but so far hadn't arrived yet... blehhh.
