Dearka Elsman's GAT-X103 Buster Gundam from the original Gundam Seed anime series. The opening episode of the anime had him, Athrun Zala and other elite members of a cadre of ZAFT soldiers embarking on a daring raid to steal the Earth Federation's newest mobile suits. The unit that Dearka stole was the Buster Gundam.
GAT-X103 BUSTER GUNDAM
As the series progressed this cadre team of ZAFT soldiers got assigned the task of going after Kira Yamato's Strike Gundam. Dearka eventually got himself captured by the crew of the Archangel when he surrendered to them rather than face death. He eventually switched sides to the Laccus Clyne faction which fought to end the war between ZAFT and the Earth Alliance. I don't think it was a case of the Stockholm Syndrome *snicker*
The GAT-X103 Buster Gundam is primarily a long range artillery bombardment mobile suit. It's main weapons are the Gun Launcher and High-Energy Beam Rifle. Like similar mobile suits in its class, it is also equipped with the phase-shift armor which make it impervious to almost all types of weapons except for beam type weapons.
