1/100 GN-006 Cherudim Gundam Assembly Part IV
Part III of this build can be found here. Work has been steady on the 1/100 GN-006 Cherudim Gundam of Lockon Stratos from Gundam 00 Season 2. This can be attributed to great weather in my parts. I think I've developed a phobia for bad painting weather already, once it starts getting gloomy in the afternoon or if its cloudy, I basically cease all painting activities save for sanding.
Paints used for this step of the build were the usual Pylox cans of spray paints, chiefly: Pylox Singa Green, Misty Grey and Pure White Flat. For primer I used TOA/Wins Plastic Primer for the white parts and Bosny Primer Grey for the non-white parts. Part prepping consists of wet sanding the parts. I usually use 1000 grit sandpaper during sanding, this time I tried 600 grit and I can't really tell the difference between the two. This means that the primer is doing its other job of filling in small gaps. But I guess the real important thing is that there are no scratches visible after painting and priming.
I mentioned in the previous post that I'm taking my time with this build in order to savor the "joy" of the build. Well, as of this posting I did a 180 degree turn on this statement because a friend is staying over in my house so I tried to finish as much as I could before our guest arrives.
Whenever somebody stays in our house my "work area" gets turned into the guest room... hehehe... of course I wouldn't be a proper host if paint fumes were wafting through any part of the house. Not that I'd have time to paint since I'd be busy "entertaining"
In the last picture above you can see that the legs are already finished. In reality even the torso is finished and the Cherudim Gundam is standing upright already, albeit headless. Just didn't have time take pictures of today's complete build because of the aforementioned need to rush things.
Part V of this build can be found here.
