1/100 Gundam Astray Blue Frame Second L Revisited
Somehow this didn't turn out as I had expected it. Was supposed to be building the 1/60 GN-001 Exia but got sidetracked upon seeing the 1/100 Gundam Astray Blue Frame that I had built. Wanted to see what would happen if I gave it a flat coat of Bosny Clear Flat. The good news is that Gundam Spray (blue color) does not have a negative reaction to the Bosny Clear Flat.
Uggh, this model kit can't stand on its own with the Tactical Arms mounted on its back. When displaying this on my shelf, I have to have boxes piled on its back where the barrel of the Gatling Gun can rest. This kit really needs a stand.
Took me about 2 days to finish retouching this. First was to clean it with a brush and to remove all the dust. Seal it with the Bosny Clear Flat, then afterwards do some panel lining with a 0.5 mm mechanical pencil. Afterwards sealed it again.
Despite not being overly impressed with outcomes of the flat coating, I'm happy that at least the flat coat was able to cover up the scratch marks found on the model kit. The Bosny Clear Flat really has this levelling effect on the model kit.
This is me, cheating, by laying a finger on the foot so that it doesn't topple over. Probably the reason too why my shot got out of focus, having to have to hold the camera with one hand.
