Kamen Rider W (Kamen Rider Double) is the latest reincarnation of the Kamen Rider Franchise. What makes it unique from the different Kamen Riders is that he is formed by the merging of two individuals. Well that's the boiler plate explanation of the figure *snicker*
I never watched a single episode of Kamen Rider as I was growing up, but that didn't mean I wasn't exposed to it. As a kid I remember having a huge plastic kamen rider figure toy. If I remember correctly it was my parents who gave it to me. The great thing about my Dad's work at that time was that it afforded him to travel to Japan at times, and often times he would buy presents for us kids going back. So I was surprised when I went to Japan to see that there was a Kamen Rider episode being shown on TV, guess the franchise was really that popular to have lasted that long.
Writing this post made me recall why I lost the toys of my toddler years. Main reason for it was because I moved a lot so I had to leave some of my toys to my relatives. Of course that promptly meant that they would be played with, lost or destroyed. Sad really, looking back now, even if I wanted to have taken good care of them I couldn't because of the circumstances. One other reason I why lost my toys was because the old house we lived in belonged to another person, so when my family moved out while I was away in school in another city my parents didn't bother to bring my stuff. Oh well, that's life so they say. The good thing about that experience is that it made me take good care of the toys I still had with me.
Oh brother have I digressed, sorry about that. Back to the main topic.
