The Fafnir of General Baldr from the Break Blade anime(marketed as Broken Blade in the English version). This was made into a 1/60 model kit by Kotobukiya and released in November of 2010. The Fafnir is a Golem from the country of Krishna, or what we anime fans commonly refer to as a "mecha."
This model kit can be built as either General Baldr's unit or as General True's unit. General True's unit is of a yellow shade. In the anime, General Baldr headed one of the Golem attack units during the defense of Krishna from invasion of the Athens Commonwealth. General Baldr acted as a mentor to the young and untrained protagonist of Break Blade, Rygart Arrows. His tactical expertise, battlefield wisdom and skill in piloting the Fafnir was shown all through out the anime. General Baldr was very instrumental in aiding the maturity of the young Rygart Arrows who had to quickly transition from being a lowly farmer to the pilot of the Delphine in time to defend Krishna.
If General Baldr was the apogee of supreme Generalship in the Krishna forces, General True was the opposite of that. He was hot headed in temperament and therefore prone to rash decisions and with that came tactical errors and blunders on a massive scale. Despite that he was well loved by the men and the people of Krishna, particularly the orphans who he took care of. Some of the orphans became soldiers and served under him. Aside from being their General, those who served under him treated him with the dignity and respect that one bestows on one's father.
