GI Joe Airtight Action Figure
Released in 1985 by Hasbro was the Action Figure Airtight from the GI Joe Real American Hero line of 3.75 inch action figures. In the figure card at the back, Airtight's description is listed as Hostile Environment.
Decked out in an airtight suit with air filters in the back he seems to be a toxic environment specialist for GI Joe. In short, when the bad guys start using nerve gas in the battlefield, he is the one that is designated to go in and handle the situation. The Airtight action figure came with a rifle like device, a back pack, plastic hose to connect the rifle to the back pack and a rubber hose to connect to the back of the Airtight's helmet.
To be honest however, I could never really understand what his purpose was in the battlefield. Was he supposed to handle the nerve gas? or was he supposed to fight back with nerve gas as well?
One of the accessories that came with the toy was a rubber hose to connect to the back helmet of the Airtight figure.
Close up of the rubber hose attached to the back of Airtight's helmet and snaked through the backpack.

Another perspective of Airtight's backpack
Airtight's rifle, which doesn't look like a rifle in my opinion, but rather something that dispenses something. The "barrel" part is on the right.
