Got a Yamato 1/60 VF-1A Maximilian Jenius TV version from HobbyLink Japan a couple of weeks back. I was going to translate the transformation manual but upon checking I realized that the manual is exactly the same as the Yamato 1/60 VF-1A Mass Production version, or more likely its the opposite? *snicker*.
I've always been a huge fan of the character of Maximilian Jenius from the Super Dimension Fortress Macross Anime series of the 80's, hence this toy was in my list of must haves. In the anime, Maximilian Jenius was a "genius" ace pilot under the command of Hikaru Ichijo, the primary protagonist of the anime. Max is an important character in the series because he went on to marry Milia Fallyna, a Zentradi ace pilot. The marriage of a Zentradi and a Human was one of the catalysts for the rapid end of the war between the humans and the Zentradis as depicted in the anime.
